Tim Elliott, bio

After twenty five years of ministry with the Anglican Church in Toronto, Tim Elliott launched his new venture as a ministry development consultant, executive coach and keynote speaker in 2002. In addition, he travels and speaks about jazz, spirituality, vocation, creativity and wellness, using the piano in his presentations. Through Elliott Resource Services and Elliott Clarke & Associates he offers vocational and ministry development programs for individuals and organizations.

While Rector of Christ Church Deer Park in Toronto he and percussionist Brian Barlow launched the highly successful Jazz Vespers 1n 1999. Tim and Brian have organized and presented Jazz Worship across Canada.

He is an honourary assistant at the Church of the Redeemer, Toronto. He is a graduate of Huron College, London Ontario (B.A. 1968) the General Theological Seminary, New York (M.Div. 1971) and Trinity College (D.Min 1988).

He is the author of "Clarity and Courage: Life as an Improvised Journey". He has recorded and released three solo piano CDs "All the things you are" (jazz standards), "New Every Morning" (favourite hymn tunes and variations) and "What child is this?" (Christmas Carols). They were all recorded on the Rhythm Tracks label.

He is a member of the Toronto chapters of the Toronto Musicians Association and the Duke Ellington Society.

He is married to Judy Maddren, formerly host of CBC Radio's World Report and now partner in Soundportraits an audio recording company for family stories. They have four adult children.
