Jazz Services and Preaching
As the co-founder of jazz vespers at Christ Church Deer Park in Toronto and as a professional musician, Tim is available to organize, lead and preach at jazz worship services. The opportunities vary from a simple sermon with music to a jazz ensemble working with the choir. Details, samples, and references available on request.
Concerts
Tim presents one hour and two hour solo piano concerts primarily in churches and often as part of a fundraising initiative. A professional fee is required plus travel expenses (if outside of the Greater Toronto area). There are three concert programs:
1. Two by eight - two songs by eight favourite composers: Ellington, Berlin, Mancini, Rodgers, Gershwin,Kern, Porter, and Carmichael. (Two hours)
2. All the things you are - Music and stories for life's journey: a selection of favourites with a sing-a-long component. (One or two hours)
3. New Every Morning - signs and songs of hope: featuring favourite hymns and songs of inspiration. (One or two hours).
